We were approached to produce the premiere for ITV's new show Victoria. Fitting with the show's royal subject Kensington Palace was chosen for the drinks reception, screening and Q&A with the stars. We worked to accentuate the existing features of the venue with lighting, staging and floral design to create a truly royal premiere.
The venue and brief combined presented some challenges to be overcome, including the complete black-out of the Orangery with white trevira overlays to transform the light space into a cinema room whilst staying in keeping with the room's historic features. Well designed graphics and branding were used to guide guests from the drinks reception in the main palace to The Orangery for the screening.
ITV's Emma Lindsay said of Event Concept's production, 'I wanted to extend a huge thank you to you and your team for helping us deliver such an awesome event. It all went so seamlessly and we've received resoundingly positive comments so success all round! We couldn't have done it without you.'
Actor Rufus Sewel on a live feed from the US talked of filming - "It was never quite clear which end of the horse the complaints were coming from, but midway through my dialogue would come this noise - which is the sound of an animal complaining about how boring its rider is. I managed to keep a straight face, the same cannot be said of the Queen."
