Ubuntu Gala 2019

Celebrating 20 years of life changing work

The Roundhouse

The Brief

Ubuntu Pathways, a charity that provides health, education and social support to vulnerable children and their families in South Africa, wanted to celebrate 20 years of life-changing work with a gala dinner at the Roundhouse in North London.

The event needed to promote the launch of the Ubuntu campus expansion and raise more funds for its mission to tackle poverty.

The Delivery

Our event design ensured that each element reflected the charity’s identity, from bespoke furniture decorated in vibrant African prints to a lush living photo wall.

Our production team delivered a technically seamless show which included live performances, a charity auction and emotive films delivered via projection to a series of suspended screens on stage.

The Inside Story

Performances from a live band and South African musicians had everyone on their feet, as did the auction with fabulous prizes that included a colourful portrait of Nelson Mandela.

Not only that, but it was revealed on the night, to a flourish of confetti, that the gala raised more than £654,000.
