The British Asian Trust entrusted us with developing a vision that would bring their Annual Reception to life. As their first event for over two years, the Trust wanted to wow guests and exceed expectations of previous years.
The British Asian Trust works to tackle the widespread poverty and hardship in South Asia working to raise funds for the post-pandemic road to recovery. We were challenged with creating a concept that would transform the British Museum, taking guests on a journey throughout the evening.
Dramatic lighting design and the use of projection mapping was used to transform the space. Working with the Trust, we developed the concept from inspiration imagery of South Asian environments, which became the focal point for the projection.
Our in-house Content team created a seamless three-hour storyboard of projected content, that transformed the incredible architecture of the Great Court. The projections evolved throughout the evening, transporting guests to a series of vistas. This was intertwined with live content from the silent auction, speeches and performances.
Guests were greeted with a red carpet arrival and welcomed into the Egyptian Gallery for the reception where they had an opportunity to meet the Trust’s patron, HRH The Prince of Wales.
As guests entered the stunning Great Court they were met with breath-taking sunrise scenes as warm hues flooded the room. As the evening progressed the projections evolved, and guests found themselves dining beside a living forest, a decadent palace and a mystical night sky.
Following an address by HRH The Prince of Wales, the evening came to a climax with a captivating performance from magician, Dynamo.
The team at Event Concept was a dream to work with. I was thoroughly impressed by their dedication to excellence at every step of the way.
