The Brief
Presented by The Natural History Museum and Voice for Nature Collective, we transformed a derelict warehouse space to create The Nature Bar, as part of COP26 Climate Summit.
Located within the New York Times Climate Hub, we were excited to be involved in the development, design and production of this unique space, which provided a relaxed setting away from the main summit, where guests could immerse themselves in The Nature Bar experience.
Featuring panel discussions, presentations and demonstrations about sustainable change, The Nature Bar became a space to meet and converse about environmental issues whilst enjoying refreshments from sustainable suppliers.
The Concept
Our Creative team drew inspiration from natural materials and textures, whilst considering the importance of sustainable options and up-cycled furniture during the design phase.
As a result of meticulously produced renders, we were able to provide the client with detailed 3D renders so they could really experience and visualise the space prior to the build.
The Experience
The Nature Bar hosted a collection of extraordinary individuals; scientists, environmentalists, policymakers and journalists speaking on behalf of the natural world. Attendees were invited to unwind at the reception hosted by the small-batch, sustainable company ‘The Lost Explorer Mezcal’. Guests were also able to dine in the sustainable Ellen MacArthur Cafe and use the purpose-built Conduit Studio.
In celebration of our planet, the space was filled with natural colours and organic textures. The custom furniture was constructed using recycled wood pallets, while the hanging plants and foliage were replanted and repurposed, in line with our 2030 Pledge.
The result was a place for guests and attendees of the summit to learn, unwind, refresh, and refocus after a day of meaningful conversations about our planet's future.
