London Fashion Week 2019 saw British fashion designer Richard Quinn reveal his Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
Event Concept was invited to provide the styling, set design and production to complement the larger-than-life, floral baby doll-like couture designs. Romantic flower arrangements and extravagant staging made this event the highlight of the fashion season.
Event Concept transformed a functioning leisure centre on Bethnal Green’s Old Ford Road into a high-end fashion catwalk. A blush pink carpet was laid across the length of the sports hall, with London’s Philharmonic Orchestra and Bach Choir providing a live soundtrack to models walking the runway.
Behind the instruments on a raised stage, Event Concept had magicked a fantastical set of blossoms and gold furnishings for models to debut Quinn’s first 1920s bridal collection.
While two years ago Her Majesty The Queen was in attendance at Richard Quinn’s show, this year saw the likes of Erin O’Connor and Jade Parfitt modeling, and American performer Billy Porter and Italian fashionista Anna Dello Russa sat front row.
For a grand finale, Quinn invited a group of five and six year olds, dressed like miniature couture ducklings in plumes of feathers, to join the models.
