The Challenge

For the fourth year running, we were called upon by Visit Newport Beach and Variety, to produce the Newport Beach Film Festival – UK Honours award ceremony. This year’s event took place in a new venue, The Grand Ballroom at The Langham Hotel.

Building on the success of previous years, we were tasked with enhancing the experience for the A-list nominees and guests even further, incorporating glamorous styling and seamless technical production.

Our Response

Guests were welcomed to The Grand Ballroom with a red carpet entrance and press wall area for interviews and photos.

The space was configured around a stunning central bar and we selected a colour palette of white and gold which was used throughout the design, in keeping with the historic detailing of the venue.

Guests were seated in cabaret fashion for the main awards and the stage design featured a high resolution LED screen to display the nominated and winning clips. Integrated with moving lights, sharp beams of blue light cut through the space, creating impact and excitement throughout the evening.

The Experience

Over 120 guests attended, where they witnessed the winning moments for UK Icon, Artist of Distinction and Outstanding Achievements in British Cinema over the course of the evening.

Our experienced team of live show producers ensured the awards ran smoothly and the audience had the privilege of witnessing the likes of Rob Brydon, Lily Cole, and The Crown’s Lesley Manville, proudly accept their awards.
