Marking its 63rd year in 2018, the L'Oréal Colour Trophy is the longest-running live hairdressing competition in the world.
L'Oréal Professionnel sought to re-imagine the Grand Final of the competition and appointed Event Concept to create an unforgettable awards event that would showcase the industry's most inspirational trend-driven looks.
The event was set within the vast blank canvas of Battersea Evolution in London's Battersea Park.
Central to the design was Mylar, an adaptable metallic textile that reflects and refracts light, which enhanced all zones with dazzling visual effect. An immersive 360-degree experience, the runway show was set in the round with digital content displayed on high-impact LED walls set between Mylar panels.
TV and radio presenter, Reggie Yates, presented the awards while the judging panel included Siobhan Jones, Errol Douglas MBE and Dylan Bradshaw.
Guests were treated to awe-inspiring shows from Percy & Reed, Ken Picton and Brooks & Brooks. Trevor Sorbie Manchester was crowned the winner of L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2018 and the celebrations continued into the evening.
"The L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final is a cornerstone of our events calendar and, as such, it’s an event we’re really proud of. In 2018 we sought a production partner to help us reimagine the event, and Event Concept was the team for the job. Their innovative design, meticulous planning and flawless execution created an extraordinary guest experience."
