The Brief

A leading multinational investment bank wanted to host a drinks reception in the impressive rooms of the Old Royal Naval College.

We came up with a design to highlight the remarkable history of the awe‐inspiring Painted Hall, inkeeping with its grandeur, style and ornate artwork.

The Delivery

Our lighting experts created a romantic wash to enhance the emotive 17th century paintings, pillars and archways to dramatic effect.

A central bar space was decorated with majestic classic lamps and soft arrangements of flowers and foliage.

Custom furniture was set up to form networking spaces and a candlelit stairway, decorated with plinths of foxgloves and chrysanthemums, provided an atmospheric entrance.

The Experience

Our glamorous food stations served gourmet burgers, cured meats and pies on platters.

For those with a sweet tooth, mouthfuls of pudding in porcelain spoons and bite‐size macaroons were laid on a large slab that was artfully sprinkled in chocolate.

And for entertainment? A magician and a pianist!
