The Challenge
How to enhance the reveal of a multi-million-pound art masterpiece to an audience of art-royalty and actual royalty at the stunning V&A, whilst supporting the launch of the first Stock Exchange for art?
Our Solution
For a brand committed to bringing down the barriers to investing in art, we created a pared down design to literally remove the barriers between our audience and an original Francis Bacon masterpiece. A sophisticated concept designed to hero the artwork and subtly enhance the already beautiful interior of Raphael Court, paired with light-touch branding.
Our scenic build centrepiece in pure white served as staging for our guest speakers with a built-in mechanic to ‘reveal’ the Francis Bacon. Beautiful sculptural floral designs in blue hydrangea drew the entrance, large central bar, brand colour and deep blue interior together. While our bespoke lighting and soundscape created a dramatic atmosphere of anticipation in the chapel-like space.
The Experience
Our audience of art experts, investors and royalty from Liechtenstein were welcomed by sweeping Veevers Carter floral designs, echoed in the circular central bar. Guests then enjoyed a standing reception around our pure white staging focal point including a presentation from the grand-daughter of Pablo Picasso.
At the designated moment, the branded backdrop to our speakers was removed to reveal the original Francis Bacon artwork. Beautifully completing the chapel-like setting with its triptych format. A masterclass in understated sophistication and attention to detail, making spectacular use of an iconic London venue.
