VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM
SOUTH KENSINGTON, LONDON
The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. Founded in 1852, and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, its collection spans 5,000 years of art, from ancient times to the present day, from the cultures of Europe, North America, Asia and North Africa.
The iconic main façade, built from red brick and Portland stone, stretches 220 metres along Cromwell Gardens and was designed by Aston Webb after winning a competition in 1891 to extend the museum. The majestic gallery spaces and the stunning John Madejski Garden combine to make the V&A one of London’s most unique venues for both corporate and private entertaining. From wedding ceremonies and private views, to fundraising dinners and awards ceremonies, the museum offers endless possibilities for entertaining in a prestigious central London location.
