2017 saw a significant change within the most famous of the museum’s spaces Hintze Hall, with the beloved ‘Dippy’ ending his 35-year stint and being replaced by Hope the Whale who is now suspended from the hall’s ceiling in a dramatic nose-dive orientation.

The Museum was nominated for Best Unusual UK Venue in the 2017 M&IT Awards.
