Last night we produced, filmed, and live streamed the 2020 Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year Award Ceremony. In its twelfth year, the prestigious international competition received over 5,000 entrants from 6 different continents. The team turned to us to help deliver the event online, due to COVID restrictions.

Our Digital team were able to safely record and broadcast the show from the Royal Observatory creating a temporary control hub to mix multiple live camera feeds, pre-recorded video content whilst of course making sure to clearly display the stars of the show; the shortlisted and winning astrophotography!

Far from being put off by the thought of an online event, the live broadcast hosted by Jon Culshaw and Dr Emily Drabek-Maunder, attracted the largest audience to date with over 14,000 people tuning in across a range of different platforms - from YouTube to Periscope the response was out of this world.
