We are delighted to announce that we have appointed in-house sustainable champions across the company to comprise our “Green Team”, charged with spearheading evolving environmental initiatives and policies.
This scheme has been conceived in support of our 2030 Pledge, which focuses on a commitment to achieve NetZero, Zero to Landfill, and to have removed all single-use plastic from our manufacturing process and facility by 2030. Collectively, these undertakings demonstrate our strong and dedicated focus on sustainable change for the events industry.
With team members representing all Event Concept departments, the “Green Team” will meet regularly to discuss issues, share ideas, and implement new endeavours to bring about meaningful, impactful change, affecting not only business operations but also company culture. Additionally, the “Green Team” will lead internal communications regarding their projects and progress, reporting on the changes being made and the effects on daily life at Event Concept. The formation of the team is a key example of one of the core pillars of our pledge, Educating Our Community, by providing a direct line of communication throughout the company on all issues related to sustainable change and progress.
Adam Stanley, Managing Director of Event Concept, comments, “Consistent company communications regarding environmental sustainability is vital to ensuring that together we are on the path towards our net zero target. The “Green Team” will be leading the way in terms of data collection and ideas generation, with the goal of demonstrating that #impactwithoutimpact is truly achievable.”
