Run over 4 days, London’s Old Billingsgate hosted the elite of Russian society and business. The agenda: visit a conference, enjoy a lavish party, attend the Russian Economic Forum (REF) and, not least, support children’s charity the Naked Heart Foundation. Working in partnership with Russian-based Eventica, Event Concept were tasked with producing 4 luxurious events with consummate flair, efficiency and creativity.
It was the most stunning decoration of all the Eventica-organised events I have seen so far.
Valerie Ann Creps, Executive Director International, Naked Heart Foundation
First thing Thursday, Event Concept teams began to set up for the Global Luxury Forum. By 8.30am the next day an opulently dressed conference room and exhibition space was ready. This was transformed overnight into ‘Moscow Motion’, the REF’s launch party. The next day delegates moved to the QEII Conference Centre for the forum, while Old Billingsgate was prepared to host a ‘Russian Rhapsody’ charity dinner.
Eventica’s Sergei Kolushev said: “We needed a production company that could not only deliver a high profile forum, but also help delegates really experience what it is that makes luxury goods so desirable.”
Intelligent logistics were vital, given restrictive venue access and limited turnaround times. To top it all, the London Marathon was in town. Even so, our team’s collaborative approach shone through. As MD Mark Beaver recalls: “We know Old Billingsgate exceptionally well. The challenges can be overcome if everyone knows their time slot, and the build-up and break-down is managed with military precision."
