We have had the privilege to create the HarperCollins annual Summer Party, where a star-studded list of authors and publishers mingle, for the past four years. 2017 marked a particularly special milestone for the publishing giant, its 200th Birthday. We returned to the iconic Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington to celebrate this special year.
In previous years we have designed and created the world of HarperCollins using their invitation design as inspiration. 2017’s iridescent and white design was transformed into a striking 82ft bar and food station and an impactful entrance display. A second bar was erected to be suspended above the pool in the John Madjeski Garden to create a stunning focal-point.
Sarah McPhee, Head of Events for Harpercollins commented;"I receive many calls on a weekly basis from events companies, asking if I would be interested in meeting with them to discuss my needs. The answer is always a polite and resounding no. I have found the company I am happiest working with, and after nearly 10 years of trusting Event Concept with our business, I have never felt the need to shop around elsewhere and find someone else to work with – why would I?"
"Tabitha, Craig and the whole team have always delivered beyond our expectations - anticipating our needs and desires before we even have them. In this case I am happy to trust the old adage – if it’s not broken don’t fix it."
From the suspended stage HarperCollins CEO Charlie Redmayne marked the occasion and addressed guests, who amongst their number included some of the publisher's top names from right across the literary world.
Introducing the experts, specialists and technicians that made this event spectacular. Their precision and attention to detail is what made this event successful.
