THE CUTTY SARK, ROYAL MUSEUMS GREENWICH
Harbour & Jones is an award-winning London events caterer, providing catering at events across London. To celebrate their 1000th event, our expert teams had the pleasure of transforming the space surrounding the Cutty Sark – with the goal of providing an incredible experience for 200 guests.
Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for making last night the success that it was. All the planning & hard worked seemed to pay off as everyone enjoyed themselves (some maybe more than others!)
Jules Heckman Hughes, Creative Director, Harbour & Jones Events
The 963-tonne national treasure glowed golden amber, hovering overhead the theatrical Venetian setting we created. Sprinklings of gold featured everywhere, from the Dry Berth to the 18-foot mirrored bar. Glimmering table centrepieces, designed by Veevers Carter, featured gold beading, Venetian masks, plumes of ostrich feathers, crystals dripping from candelabras, and glitter-coated trees adorned with sweet birds.
Guests also enjoyed a ‘chill out’ lounge, created in the ‘Tween Deck (the mid-layer of the ship). This cosy hideaway was a perfect stopping place for guests as they explored the ship following dinner and reflected on the world we created. Altogether, these immersive experiences made the evening a huge success.
The creative brains at Harbour & Jones Events gave us great scope to produce something really special to celebrate their 1000th event. They are a great team to work with.

Chris Janes, our Lighting Designer, accentuated the copper and golden hues of the ship’s hull, integrating the beauty of the materials into the event space. His precise selection of lighting colours bathed the Dry Berth in a rich warmth of gold, red and amber. The dining space was defined with a punch of golden lighting, creating an intimate space by highlighting the lowest parts of the floating ship.
