Can you tell us a bit about your role?

As the Events Coordinator, I work with most departments across the company but particularly closely with the account management team, assisting with admin, sourcing and ordering to ensure the smooth build-up and running of events. I also train new starters on our booking system - becoming the in-house guru.

It always brings something innovative and exciting to the ‘Event Concept’ vision, whether it is new software to help with the administration process or a unique brief from a client.

 

Prior to joining Event Concept, what did you do?

I completed an apprenticeship in marketing and was kept on as a Marketing and Admin Executive for a fibreglass supplier. I was responsible for a variety of tasks including the daily upkeep of the website, design and social media, as well as serving the day-to-day enquiries – and packing the odd parcel for shipping here and there!

 

What piece of advice would you give to someone looking to work in Events?

Be prepared for weird and wonderful requests from clients!

 

When you’re not working, where would we likely find you?

Most often I will be found at home decorating or watching one of my favourite TV programmes: Grey’s Anatomy. But on a lovely summer day I like to go out and find interesting things to photograph from the local boat club to lovely local parks.
