Hey! Can you tell us a bit about your role?
As a Creative Executive I work across several areas lending a hand for whatever’s needed. Whether that’s putting together moodboards, sourcing furniture, contributing to brainstorms with creative ideas, producing floorplans or even doing a spot of painting when the occasion calls for it.
Finish this sentence: I love the events industry because…
It’s a common answer within the industry, but I really enjoy the variety. The fact that you can be working on so many and such different events at any one time is always exciting and rewarding.
Prior to joining Event Concept, what did you do?
I graduated from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a BA (Hons) in Performance Design. From there I became a freelance Set and Costume Designer working with some incredible companies and brilliant designers such as Es Devlin, The Old Vic Theatre, Bob Crowley & FX.
What piece of advice would you give to someone looking to work in Events?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help and advice, it’s a team effort. There’s such a wealth of knowledge to use and learn from.
When you’re not working, where would we likely find you?
Most Saturday mornings you’ll find me at my local Park Run. In the evenings I love cooking for friends and testing out cocktail recipes, which so far have gone down pretty well.
