We are excited to welcome four new team members into our Client Experience team at Event Concept. Alice, Lizzie, Mark and Lauren bring both technical and creative experience to support the growing team servicing our clients.
Adam Stanley, Event Concept’s Commercial Director, comments "I’m genuinely, really excited about having these guys on board. The breadth and depth of experience they bring to the team along with the very obvious personal passion they each have for live events will help us to push creative boundaries as well as ensure that our clients and partners get the level of excellence in delivery that we are known for. It’s a very exciting time to be part of the business and I am certain that their addition to an already very skilled and diverse workforce will only strengthen our offering for 2020 and beyond".
Alice Dapling, Senior Account Manager
Alice is a familiar face here at Event Concept and one that we are very happy to see return to the fold. In the industry for 8 years, Alice completed a degree in Interior Architecture and after a period in an architectural practice, joined Event Concept in 2012. She was here with us for 6 years before spreading her wings and exploring what the industry had to offer.
Alice re-joined us recently as a Senior Account Manager, passionate about how people and design work within spaces she leans on her knowledge of materials and construction to inform the design of her events to support her clients with end to end knowledge. "I love designing for brands, I’m excited to work with the team at Event Concept to push the boundaries on what is possible. Brand experience can be about so much more than the physical space". We asked Alice what was different in the time she’d been away. "The company has grown loads and evolved into new areas in the time I’ve been gone, but the same creative passion and family feel still remain. I’m really happy to be back and to see what the future brings!"
Lizzie Bishop, Senior Account Manager
We were very happy to welcome Lizzie to the team in January. Having spent her early career in event production and gaining in-depth knowledge of the prolific London venues, many of which Event Concept services as a preferred supplier, Lizzie then moved into producing large scale global events. She has extensive experience in running events with £1m+ budgets and is no stranger to international travel.
"I absolutely love working in the events industry. I’m equally at home producing corporate brand experiences as I am in supporting large budget weddings. I get a real buzz from creating a concept and then working that through to reality. It’s great to be part of a company that values its people in the way that Event Concept so clearly does." Lizzie is passionate about private events and is looking forward to working with our partners and clients to deliver amazing experiences.
Mark Owen, Senior Account Manager
Mark is a seasoned event professional with over 20 years of industry experience. Mark began his career as a warehouse technician and proceeded to work through roles in serviced hire and eventually moved into technical project management where he specialised in delivering live events.
Mark brings with him a level of technical knowledge that will ensure that our clients and partners always get value alongside excellence in delivery. "I’ve been involved in all areas of technical production throughout my career. Starting in the warehouse prepping technical equipment gave me a solid understanding and good grounding where the use of kit is concerned. My role at Event Concept as a Senior Account Manager is to work with our larger clients and ensure that have someone they can trust, who understands technical delivery, to work with them on their events and support them through the whole process. I’m excited about the diversity of skill in the team here, it allows us to challenge what’s possible".
Lauren Wiggins, Account Manager
Events have always been a passion for Lauren. Starting out with a theatre studies undergraduate degree, she progressed to a Master’s degree in production and design at Guildhall. From there she spent a year as a freelance stage manager for theatrical productions. For Lauren "the skills involved in producing and managing theatrical production are all transferable to the events industry. The same elements of scenic construction, lighting, sound, video, the creativity, and that feeling you get when you wow an audience are exactly the same when you produce a live event". Lauren then spent two years at a Technical Production company as a Project Manager with a focus on combining technical understanding with creative concept.
Lauren joins the Event Concept team as an Account Manager, she liaises with clients and supports them all the way through the event life cycle from brief to reality. "I love that no two days are the same, no two events are the same and the creative freedom to bring ideas to life never gets boring. As we say here at Event Concept, it’s all #fortheloveoftheshow".
